Nancy Williams has been with Piedmont Columbus Regional for 42 years and the Director of Volunteer Services for the past 30 years. She has her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Troy State University & a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Columbus State University. She received her Certification for Volunteer Administration in 2002 from Association of Healthcare Volunteer Resource Professionals.

She has served on the AHVRP American Healthcare Volunteer Resources Professionals Board of Directors, GAVA Georgia Association of Volunteer Administration Board of Directors and GSVRP Georgia Society Volunteer Resources Professionals Board of Directors.

She has been a member of the Tri Community Directors of Volunteer Services since 1988 and served as President and other offices. Nancy received the TRI DVS DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEER SERVICES MMEBERSHIP AWARD in 1992.

Nancy was a member of the Georgia Society Directors of Volunteer Services since 1988 and served as president. She is a member and past board member for SDVSHO Southeastern Directors of Volunteer Services for Healthcare organizations. Nancy has served with the Council of Auxiliaries/Volunteers on the Youth Volunteer Advisory Board.

Nancy is a member and past president of Network for Professional and Executive Women.

Nancy has been married for 38 years to her wonderful husband Jim and together they have 3 children, Rachel, Ethan and Alisa.

AND two wonderful grandsons Elliott and Emerson

What you enjoy about working with volunteers (either currently or in the past): Volunteers are the backbone of any organization, they bring an element of servant leadership to any organization. Serve as role models for others to follow.

Something interesting about your job: I love being able to combined my passion for leading a volunteer program with the opportunity to make a difference in every life I touch.
