Speaker Bio: Tanya Holloway of Panama City FL was crowned Miss Plus America Elite 2021 on July 31, 2021 at the Miss Plus America pageant in Louisville, KY. When Hurricane Michael devastated her hometown in the Florida panhandle, Tanya couldn’t help but notice the disparity between more affluent communities and those living below the poverty line. Because of this, Tanya is using her platform to bring awareness to the many programs and services of The American Red Cross, especially those that help to bridge the gap between underserved communities and disaster preparedness.
After graduating from Bay High School in Panama City, FL, she attended Gulf Coast State College and Florida State University. Tanya has more than 15 years of non-profit management experience, including work with The American Cancer Society and The American Red Cross, where she currently serves as a Disaster Workforce Engagement Manager in the North Florida Region.
Tanya’s husband, Bryan, is a retired US Airman and currently works for the Department of Defense. Together, they have 4 children: Hunter, Tristen, Anthony, Shawn, and a fur-baby, Lady. As the 2021 Miss Plus America Elite winner, Tanya will now go on to compete at the Miss Plus World pageant, March 9-12, 2022 in Houston, TX.
