For nearly 20 years, Dr. Jazmyn Davis’s career has been spent in service to student learning and development. Jazmyn currently serves as the Associate Director of Outreach for the WomenLead program in Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. WomenLead’s mission is to advance women’s leadership in the world by empowering all students to aspire to and achieve leadership roles. At the heart of WomenLead is its three-credit one-semester professional Signature Experience course.

During the course, students engage with community leaders from across industry through panels, networking events, engagement interviews and mentoring opportunities. Available to students enrolled at the Georgia State University Atlanta campus, WomenLead offers students their choice of sections emphasizing business, science, policy and politics, entrepreneurship and innovation, technology, the arts, sports, law, and graduate school.

In her role, Jazmyn recruits and manages volunteers; coordinates events for the program’s students, alumni, and community partners; and works with the WomenLead Director, university development officers and other WomenLead faculty and staff to support and grow the operations and execution of the WomenLead program for its many stakeholders.

What I enjoy about working with volunteers?

One of the best parts of working with volunteers is providing them a learning space to share their knowledge and expertise with the next generation of leaders. Seeing our students apply the wisdom and advice that our volunteers excitedly share with them to their professional and leadership development plans is an amazing part of my role.

    Call to action:

As a part of the WomenLead course experience, each semester our students will engage with over 100 volunteers from diverse industries including the arts, business, entrepreneurship and innovation, law, policy and politics, science, sports and technology. We invite you and members of your organization to learn more about WomenLead and volunteer your time to support the growth and development of our students.
